For our wedding registry we registered at a bunch of stores and still have store credit we are struggling to use. For our baby registry we knew we didn’t want to make the same mistake again. Here’s where the Amazon Baby Registry comes in. We already order from Amazon at least twice a week. Amazon has everything we could want and is incredibly convenient. Once I starting looking into baby registries the Amazon Baby Registry was an obvious choice
I am here to share with you why I chose Amazon’s Baby Registry for my little one and why it is the best baby registry out there.
You don’t need to be an Amazon Prime member to make an Amazon Baby registry, but the perks are better. For example, you aren’t eligible for the welcome box if you aren’t a prime member and the registry completion is 15% for Prime members and only 10% for those without Amazon Prime.
Nothing out there can beat Amazon’s selection. They have everything from furniture to diapers to prenatal vitamins.
Amazon’s Baby Registry makes it super simple to return items. Just print out a label and send it back in the box it came in! You can return anything from your registry for free within 90 days. Just make sure you keep some Amazon boxes in case you do decide to return something.
Registry Completion Discount
Amazon’s registry completion discount is very generous. From 60 days before your due date until 60 days after your due date you can get a 15% discount on most registry items. It is important to note that this only applied to 2 orders valuing up to $2000 and that the primary registrant must be the one placing the order. This discount can save you up to $300! For more information on the registry completion discount, go to this link.
I think this is the most fun perk of the Amazon registry. Once you have created your Amazon baby registry, completed the baby registry checklist and placed an order of at least $10 you are eligible to receive the Welcome Box. The Welcome Box is a free box of baby goodies worth about $35.
Amazon giftcards are essentially cash in my household. We order so much from Amazon that we are just as happy with Amazon credit as we are with cash. You can register for Amazon giftcards on your registry. Also, when you return items from your registry you get Amazon credit in return!
Once your total ordered items from your baby registry reaches $1000 you get a $100 credit towards diapers and wipes! With a newborn baby, diaper credit is also essentially cash! You must use this perk within 90 days of your due date.
Even if there are items you want that aren’t on Amazon’s website (is that possible?) you can still add them to your Amazon registry! Unfortunately you wont be able to enjoy the Amazon Baby registry perks on those items, but you can still direct your gift givers to those items you’d like. And it couldn’t be easier! You just need to download the Amazon Assistant. This is a browser extension. You can download it for Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and more!
If you add up the $35 value of the welcome box, the $300 registry completion discount and the $100 babybucks credit for diapers and wipes your total discount comes to $435! That doesn’t even include the fact that Amazon typically has the best prices AND has free shipping. The Amazon Baby Registry can be a huge savings tool!
